About California VanLife
California VanLife was created to make it easy to explore the incredible landscapes that make California so special, from national parks and coastal highways to quiet forest roads and scenic campgrounds.
We believe adventure should feel simple, comfortable, and accessible, whether it’s your first road trip or your next great escape.

Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Mike — the founder of California VanLife.
Like many people, I fell in love with exploring California’s parks, coastlines, and hidden gems, but I wanted a way to travel that felt both adventurous and comfortable. Camper vans offered the perfect balance: freedom, flexibility, and everything you need to feel at home on the road.
California VanLife was built to share that experience with others, making it easier to get out, explore more, and create lasting memories without the stress that often comes with trip planning.

Why Travel by Camper Van?
Camper vans offer a unique way to experience California, combining the convenience of a vehicle with the comfort of a small living space.
They’re easy to drive, fit in most parking spaces, and come equipped with everything you need for life on the road. Think of it as a hotel suite on wheels but without fixed check-in times or rigid itineraries.
What Sets Us Apart
Designed for Comfort & Safety
Our vans are thoughtfully equipped and maintained to ensure a comfortable, reliable, and safe travel experience.
Built for California Adventures
From Yosemite and Sequoia to Big Sur and beyond, our vans are designed for California’s diverse terrain and destinations.
Personal, Local Service
Based in Fresno, we provide responsive support, flexible options, and a rental experience that feels personal — not corporate.

Based in Fresno, California
California VanLife is based in Clovis, California, just minutes from Fresno Yosemite International Airport and at the doorstep of some of the state’s most iconic destinations. From here, you’re a short drive to Yosemite National Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the Central Coast.
Because of our close proximity to Fresno and the airport, many travelers consider us part of the greater Fresno area, making it easy to fly in, pick up your van, and start your adventure the same day.
